The Brunei Darussalam Amateur Radio Federation, BDARA is host to about 300 amateur radio enthusiasts from Borneo Island at the 6th Borneo Amateur Radio Festival. The three day festival took place this morning.
Taking part in the festival are participants from Kalimantan, Sabah, Sarawak as well as Brunei Darussalam which is hosting the festival for the first time.
The second Deputy Director, Youth and Sports Department, Awang Haji Muhammad Zamri bin Dato Paduka Haji Hamdani, in his speech said that the festival will be able to open-up opportunities for amateur radio enthusiasts to share experiences and as an encouragement to give attention towards the high technology used in amateur radio equipment.
This year's biennial festival sees BDARA lining-up several activities such as meetings, competitions, talks and visits for the participants.
