His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah binti Dato Haji Nasir, yesterday morning watched the Wushu event of the 30th SEA Games in the Philippines, where Brunei Darussalam's athletes bagged another silver and bronze for the country. The Wushu event took place at the World Trade Centre in Manila.
The silver medal was won by duo Majdurano Joel Majallah Sain and Muhd Safiee Shayferan Roslan in the Men's Duilian after collecting 9 point 5 points. The gold medal went to Indonesia with 9 point 5-4 points, while the Philippines took bronze with 9 point 4-9 points.
Meanwhile in the Women's Taijijian, Basma Lachkar secured the bronze medal after collecting 9 point 6 -2 points. The Philippines took the gold medal while the silver went to Vietnam.
Whereas in the Men's Nanquan, national athlete Muhammad Adi Salihin Roslan ended the event with 9 point 6-2 points. Vietnam bagged the gold, Indonesia took silver, while Myanmar won the bronze. The Wushu event ended yesterday, and the country's Wushu athletes have displayed excellence performance as they successfully collected 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.
