The International Conference On Islamic Finance 2012 and 6th Regional Shariah Scholars' Dialogue, MCSN 6 discussed the topic on Investment in Takaful. Banking and Islamic Finance Industry has been developing rapidly in line with the world's finance sector development. The industry's significant development encourages governments to explore the Islamic Banking Sector as future resource capacity tools toward building a mechanism to replace capitalism through more productive resources and according to Islamic Teachings.
At the session entitled: Investment Aspect in Takaful, the Deputy Dean of Post-Degree Study Centre of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, Doctor Yasmin Hanani Binti Mohd Safian, said the more mature Takaful industry is viewed as the best alternative to replace insurance. The current Takaful concept is different from the past decades Conventional Coverage Policy. It fulfill three current depositors demands - the need for coverage, account and benefits via investment.
Meanwhile, the Head and Vice-president of the Department of Syariah Takaful Iklas Compliance, Wan Jemizan bin Wan Deraman, said the Takaful System is basically adapted from the Khairat or Welfare System. Investment, however is one of the activities carried out by the Takaful Operators. The authentic perspective is needed for investment to avoid misleading from the basic objective of establishing a Takaful operating agency. Knowledge on property management according to Islam Islam underlining the Real Estate as the basic foundation for someone in property interactions.
