The Ujung Jalan Inspection and Control Complex in the Temburong District began operations on the 24th of April this year. The more than 6 million dollar complex was constructed to monitor and control the border entry and exit points. A hand over of the complex key took place in the afternoon.
The key was presented by the Acting Director-General of the Public Works Department, Awang Marzuki bin Haji Mohsin to the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Majid bin Mangarshah. The key was then handed over to the Acting Director of Immigration and National Registration, Awang Azmi bin Haji Hafneh. Dato Haji Majid also took the opportunity to tour the complex.
