Although the Quality Control Circle, QCC culture has long been in use as a management tool, it is still relevant today, taking into account the positive values in management as well as the best management practices. Among the positive values are leadership and time management, teamwork and open-mindedness. This was stated by the Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Awang Roslan bin Haji Taja'ah at the Quality Control Circle Competition for the Ministry of Home Affairs and Departments under it.
Awang Roslan said the with the an active involvement of officers and staff at all levels in the QCC culture, the organisation will certainly be ableto produce officers and staff who are more creative, talented, visionary, innovative with high level of professionalism and confidence in facing challenges. All these elements are very important in making it easy for the organisation to carry out its initiatives, projects and activities planned, also faster for it to achieve its mission and vision as drawn up in the Strategic Plan of the respective department.
Four groups from 3 department under the Ministry of Home Affairs took part in the competition. They were from the Fire and Rescue Department, Prisons Department and the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Department. The group with the highest marks will represent the Ministry at the National level competition. Today's competition took place at the Civil Service Department, Rimba.
