Seventy-six local job-seekers who were registered with Local Employment Agency, APTK, or Local Employment Agency, in the afternoon signed an agreement for "On The Job Training" Contract with two companies in the country. The signing was the second under the Training and Employment Scheme in which the participants will directly go through On-the-job training without having to undergo the first level of the scheme that is skill training.
The function took place at the Ministry of Home Affairs, in the capital.
Present to witness the signing was the Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Awang Roslan Bin Haji Taja'ah. A-P-TK was respresented by the Acting Counselling Officer, Dayang Azeezah binti Mohammad Ali. Meanwhile, the two companies were represented by their respective Managing Director. The joint-venture signifies the collaboration between the government and the private sector in providing jobs to local job-seekers towards achieving Brunei Vision 2035.Throughout the training course, the participants will undergo 3-month training before advancing to the third level where they will work continuously for 2 years with financial incentives from the government. In interviews with RTB, two of the Training and Employment Scheme participants, expressed satisfaction and gratitude for having been selected for the scheme.
