His Majesty also touched on the Family Day celebrations in the country that such celebrations did not relate with familial religious practices, instead all celebrations were more to entertainment-oriented activities. His Majesty reminded that neglecting prayers means rejecting blessings, while blessings are highly valuable. The monarch called on the muslim community in this country to love prayer and never neglect it.

TITAH 3:
"Ensure that in every household, all members pray - including parents, husband and wife, children, as well as domestic helpers. Let there not be any of the family members not praying. On the topic of 'Family', we had recently celebrated Family Day. But peculiarly, of all events held, none referred to religious practices within the family - such as how a family performs mass prayers at home or at the mosque - other than games and entertainment-oriented activities. Is this really the mould for every family in Brunei? I don't believe so. However, our weakness is that we may not be aware of meaningful matters, but are more accustomed to choosing the easier way and having fun. To this end, I would like to remind the Ummah to be more serious in any matters pertaining to religious, national, and family life."
