Kampung Mulaut now has a new mosque that can accommodate about one thousand congregants. Before the mosque was fully used, a Religious Cleansing ceremony was held to ensure absolute cleanliness of the new mosque as a venue for prayers and other religious activities.
The mosque, built on a 2 hectare site, was a project under the National Development Plan, NDP 2007-2012. Present at the function was the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Awang Haji Harun bin Juned. Construction work on the new Kampung Mulaut Mosque began in January last year, costing more than 3 million dollars. Variious facilities provided at the mosque, include the Main Prayer Hall for men congregants and a separate Prayer Hall for women, a Staff room, a V.I.P. Room, as well as a Library and I.T. Room.
