Intensive course for male and female Quran readers who will represent the country to the 54th international Quran reading competition in Kuala Lumpur has concluded today with a closing ceremony held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The course begun on the 14th of May.
Brunei Darussalam will be represented by Awangku Mohd Adibul Amin Pengiran Haji Marjuki and Dayang Nurfaezah Haji Emran. They were the winners of the national leval Quran Reading competition for this year. The Acting Head of Islamic Eminence Development Section, Awang Haji Mail bin Haji Besar, who is also the head of delegation to the Kuala Lumpur competition said the purpose of the intensive was to improve the reading quality of the readers. Four penal members were chosen to guide and train the Quran readers.
Present was the Minister of Religious Affair, Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Doktor Haji Mohammad. The 54th International Quran reading competition in Kuala Lumpur will be held for 8 days starting this Friday. The country's Quran readers will leave tomorrow for the Malaysian capital.
