As in the two districts previously, the presence of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in the Temburong District culminated with the Get-together and Junjung Ziarah ceremony with citizens and residents in the District. Thousands of citizens and residents in the district took the golden opportunity to shake hands and greet while conveying birthday wishes to His Majesty.
Such unique and gracious traditional event continue to be preserved despite the era of evolution. The presence of His Majesty and other members of the Royal Family to the auspicious occasion and receive greetings from various levels, ethnic groups and races in the Temburong District, among the most awaited moment.
During the reign of His Majesty, Brunei Darussalam continues to develop rapidly and achieve its development both physically and spiritually, besides facing the era of globalisation and the technology development as well as the speedy and sophisticated communications. While facing the development and progress challenges, His Majesty also reminded the citizens and residents to be balanced between development and the hereafter. Islam as the country's official religion becomes the roots of strength of life in the country. The whole citizens were grateful with His Majesty's care in upholding the Islamic Syiar in the country, as blessings from Allah The Al Mighty.
The presence of His Majesty was evident that the Monarch really puts due attention towards the relations with the citizens. The citizens and residents in the country were grateful for having the caring monarch towards their welfare. Similar with the other districts, the Temburong District is also provided with basic infrastructure such as roads, electricity supply, water and telephone services.
It is a good news for residents in the Temburong District in particular and the country in general, His Majesty in a titah at the State Investiture Ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty's 66th Birthday celebration on July the 15th touched on the plan of His Majesty's government plan to construct a bridge linking Temburong District with the Brunei Muara District. It was long awaited hope of the citizens particularly in the Temburong District.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the Royal entourage consented to view a special exhibition. The exhibition portray the history of arrival of Islam to the country, the development and progress of Islamic Teachings in the country. Islam is the country's official religion since the first Sultan of Brunei that became the root of strength of life for Brunei Darussalam.
His Majesty and other members of the royal family then consented to proceed to the Civic Centre Complex in Bangar town, Temburong for a luncheon.
Before leaving the Temburong District, His Majesty consented to receive greetings from members of the Executive Committee for His Majesty's birthday celebration for the Temburong District. In the titah on July 15th, His Majesty expressed thankfulnesss for having a united and committed citizens and residents in together maintaining the noble blessings. From peace, His Majesty in the titah, would create stability and from stability would make the citizens and nation more active towards prosperity.
The new Syariah Criminal Enactment Order that will be enforced in Brunei Darussalam is another major achievement for His Majesty government in upholding the Islamic Teachings in the country.
