The Ministry of Defence, this morning held Reading of Yaasin and Tahlil ceremonies for the Royal Brunei Armed Forces personnel involved in a helicopter crash recently. The ceremonies took place at the Berakas Garrison and Bolkiah Garrison suraus.
Present at the ceremony held at the surau of the Berakas Garrison was the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Hj Sirat and the RBAF Commander, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin. The ceremony began with the reading of surah Yaasin, followed by the tahlil.
Meanwhile, at the Bolkiah Garrison Surau, a similar ceremony was held for the women personnel involved in the helicopter crash. Present at this ceremony was the Permanent Secretary for Administration and Defence, Ministry of Defence, Dayang Hajah Suriyah binti Haji Omar. In the helcopter crash which involved 14 personnel of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces last Friday, 12 personnel died and two others were injured.
