To further glorify the Ramdhan atmosphere in the country, the a group from Ministry of Health, yesterday afternoon held an Opening Ceremony of Bertedarus Al-Quran for the ministry. The ceremony was held at the Surau of the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital, Tutong.
The group was led by the Minister of Health, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Adanan, who led the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah.
The ceremony proceeded with Al-Quran reading, and then continued with the reading of Tahlil and Doa Arwah. The ceremony also included the presentation of donations to 8 orphans of the staff of the Ministry of Health, Tutong District. The function continued with the breaking of fast and the mass Fardhu Maghrib Prayer. A similar ceremony will also be held at all hospitals in the country. Also present was the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health, Awang Saifulbahri.
A similar function was also organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Administration and Mosque Affairs departments as the secretariat in organising tadarus ceremonies at mosques in the four districts. The ceremony was held this evening at the Lorong 3 Selatan Seria Mosque in the Belait District. The delegation was led by the Permanent Secretary of Administration and Finance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dato Paduka Awang Sa Bali bin Abas. The function began with a reading of the surah al-Fatihah led by the Permanent Secretary. The function continued with a reading of the tahlil and doa arwah led by the Imam of the mosque, Hj Ibrahim bin Hj Daud. The function ran concurrently with a presentation of endowment from the ministries employees in the form of a water-jet compressor.
