The 66 times Khatam Al-Quran ceremony of Mukim and Kampung Consultative Councils throughout the country was held to express gratitude of citizens and residents of this country for blessings and rewards from Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala in keeping Brunei Darussalam continuously peaceful, prosperous and harmonious under His Majesty's leadership. The ceremony was an effort in giving added value to His Majesty's 66th birthday celebration.
The 66 times Khatam Al-Quran ceremony has clearly portrayed the closeness of the people in this country to Al-Quran and the strong and warm relations between the monarch and the rakyat in Brunei Darussalam.
Two converts, Dayang Siti Norsiah binti Mohamad Salleh and Nur Aisyah Ainulliza binti Abdullah, regarded their participation in the Khatam Al-Quran as a very meaningful achievement and expressed their gratitude.
