The Mukim and Kampong Consultative Council, MPK is the front line machine that bring development to a mukim and kampong. Resident also has a role to contribute ideas, services, efforts and positive support to the MPK in the affairs of Welfare and well being of the kampong.
The Acting Tutong District Officer, Awang Haji Muhammad Suffian bin Haji Bungsu outlined the matter at a Doa Kesyukuran, in conjunction with the recent second national level Kampong Excellency Award to Kampong Kiudang Mungkom Consultative Council.
The Acting District Officer hope all MPK follow the example of the Kiudang.Mungkom MPK who are active in holding community programmes, economy, welfare and so on. According to Haji Muhammad Suffian serious attention must be given in order to see the development of mukim and kampong more active in the future. They are the responsibility of all which are initiated by members of MPK so that it bring benefit that being kampong development and as an example for tuture generation. Â
Kiudiang Mungkom, MPK plan to find out new strategy for their participation in the 2012-2013 award in developing their herbal product output. The future planning for their participation in the 2012-2013 award first start with a post mortem so they know the weaknesses. They also plan to increase competitiveness of MPK in the future. Beside that the Tea Herbs that they are producing receive good response from the public both in Brunei Darussalam and abroad.
At the function members of MPK and resident of Kampong Kiudang Mungkom who are involved in recent Kampong Excellence Award received their certificate. Two senior citizen also received the Special Award at the function held at the Kampong Kiudang Mungkom Sale stalls.
