The Excellent Village Awards or AKC are a platform to certify and acknowledge villages which have carried out projects and help them to achieve more success in the future.
The Senior special duties officer at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Awang Matusin bin Orang Kaya Sura Hj Tuba pointed out the matter during a talk regarding the award in Seria recently. He said with the Excellent Kampung Awards, a platform was established through which committee members and a judging panel could rate a village based on its excellence and productivity.
With the award, the projects can be developed to be an economical activity for the villages and raise the quality of life of the village residents.
