500 tree saplings were planted in Hengyi Industries' 6th Reforestation Project Biodiversity Park at Berakas Forest Reserve, yesterday morning.

At the function, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism officiated the ceremony with the planting of Cassia Fistula tree saplings. Also present was Her Excellency Yu Hong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam. Among those planted were Meranti Putih Timbul, Selangan Daun Tebal and Kapur Peringgi. The tree species are all native to Berakas Forest Reserve. The project was held in conjunction with the 3rd anniversary celebration for the successful commissioning of Hengyi Industries' petrochemical and refinery plant.
