​26 Students under the Hengyi Industries - Institute of Brunei technical Education, IBTE Joint Scholarship Programme are continuing their studies at Lanzhou Petrochemical University, the People's Republic of China.

The Programme offers recipients a three-year diploma in Refinery Operator, in which they will undergo one year of academic study at IBTE Jefri Bolkiah Campus, followed by one year of studies abroad at Lanzhou. In the final year, they will then undergo on-the-job training with Hengyi Industries at Pulau Muara Besar. Upon completion and graduation of the programme, the students will join Hengyi Industries and begin their career in the petrochemical industry.
