3 students were awarded the Brunei Darussalam - Republic of Singapore Youth Education Scholarship Scheme from the Ministry of Education through the Department of Scholarship Management. The Scholarship Award and Agreement Signing Ceremony for the 2023/2024 Brunei Darussalam - Republic of Singapore Youth Scholarship Programme took place this morning at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.

Present was Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr. Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education.  Signing on behalf of His Majesty's Government was Dayang Rosimah Sumaimah binti Haji Matassim, Acting Senior Special Duties Officer, Head of the Department of Scholarship Management; and Mr. Shaun Grosse, Deputy High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam on behalf of the government of the Republic of Singapore. While the scholarship recipients were accompanied by two guarantors comprising the student's parents or guardians.

The three students are pursuing secondary level studies in the Republic of Singapore which will begin in January 2024. They are Awang Marcus Hong Tai Fu; Awang Muhammad Raziq Zafran bin Muhammad Amin; and Awang Adam Rafie bin Rewandi.
