​8 business premises were issued with compound fines and warning notices for failing to comply with the Price Control Act, Chapter 142.

During routine inspections conducted by the Department of Economic Development and Statistics, JPES, 4 compound fines and 4 warning notices were issued for a number of offences including selling items above the maximum price, failing to put price tags, and the price displayed is not similar to the price stated in the system. The companies issued with compound fines are Jannath Department Store Sendirian Berhad, Fataj Sendirian Berhad, and Seri Yasra Enterprise Sendirian Berhad. Said companies were fined $500 each. Meanwhile, a $700 fine was issued to Hidayah Haris Enterprise.
