​Several recreational activities in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam's 40th National Day Celebration took place on 25th February morning, in Belait District.

In Seria, almost one hundred people participated in the cycling activity. It began and ended at the Brunei Shell Recreation Club, BSRC. Joining the activity was Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad, Acting Belait District Officer. The activity which was organised by the Mukim Kuala Belait Consultative Council in collaboration with the Belait Cycling Club, BSRC and the Belait District Office.

Meanwhile in Sungai Liang, about 140 participants joined the running activity which was divided into 2 categories. The 3.3km for 4 hours began and ended at the Sungai Liang Recreation Park. It was jointly organised by the Kampung Sungai Liang Consultative Council and Kampung Pekan Belait Consultative Council in collaboration with the Forestry Department and KABOON Runner.
