​The long-established cooperation relationship between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Korea will continue to grow and strengthened. The education system developed for both countries is also based on the context and needs of the country which is full of enthusiasm and involvement in the field of education, is seen as an important platform in the development of the country and the people. This was voiced when Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib, Speaker of the Legislative Council received a courtesy call from His Excellency Jae Hyun Baek, Secretary General of the National Assembly Secretariat of the Republic of Korea.

Also discussed was the bilateral cooperation which is expected to be established especially in people-to-people exchanges, visits between the two parties and also sharing of information regarding best practices in areas that are of concern to both countries. The initiative through the parliamentary friendship group is also hoped to be fulfilled in the near future to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. Also joining His Excellency was a 7-member delegation from the National Assembly Secretariat of the Republic of Korea. The delegation also visited the Dewan Persidangan for a closer look at the preparations for the first meeting of the 20th session of the Legislative Council which will start on 27th February.
