​The number of individuals who have embraced Islam in Belait District in the first quarter this year showed an increase, compared to the same period previously. From January to March, 32 people have embraced Islam, an increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Based on statistics from the Belait Da'wah Unit Office, out of 32 people who have embraced Islam in the first quarter this year, 17 were Iban, 7 Dusun, 4 Chinese and the rest were various foreign nationals residing in the country.

In order to propagate the teachings of Islam, the Islamic Da'wah Centre also visited the rural area to introduce Islam to the local residents apart from strengthening the faith of the new converts.
