​Brunei Darussalam is currently in the Southwest Monsoon which will typically persist until September. During Southwest Monsoon, atmospheric conditions over the country tend to be quite stable with minimal thunderstorms occurrences compared to the inter-monsoon period.

The wind condition generally will be from the Southwest direction during the period. Weather conditions are forecasted to be active in the next few days until 19 June, with occasional heavy thundershowers affecting many areas of the country. Wind speed may reach up to 45 kilometres per hour during or near heavy thundershowers. Over Brunei waters, sea state is generally at slight, below one meter. There is risk of flash floods especially at low-lying and flood prone areas as well as near the river banks during continuous heavy rain and also during high tide. Risk of landslide and fallen trees are also possible. Members of the public are advised to take precautionary actions with respect to the forecasted active weather condition.
