Instructional coaching is one of the key areas of specialisation in Brunei Darussalam's Education Specialists talent pool, alongside Research, Assessment and Measurement, Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, and Special Education. Each of these areas of specialisation plays a crucial role in collective pursuit of educational excellence. The Minister of Education underlined the matter at the 4th Education Specialists Seminar at Chancellor Hall, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, 19th June morning. According to Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, instructional coaching has proven to be a powerful tool for the development of educators and improving learners' performances.

Themed ''Contemporary Specialisation in Educational Practices towards Education Excellence" and sub-themed “Effective Instructional Coaching towards Education Excellence", the seminar among others aims to explore practical tools and resources with a focus on leveraging technology to enhance coaching. Around 400 participants attend the 2-day seminar.
