The implementation of the Sacrificial Rites can foster the practise of giving alms aside from expressing gratitude to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala for the blessing of sustenance bestowed. Apart from that, it can increase faith and piety in carrying out good deeds.

 

The Kampung Penapar Mosque Takmir Committee, Tutong District organised such a ceremony. The distribution of sacrificial meats to the poor and destitute as well as the village residents were officiated by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Mohammad Danial @ Tekpin bin Ya'akub, a Member of Legislative Council.

 

Also holding a similar ceremony was the Kampung Tanah Jambu Mosque Takmir Committee with 6 buffaloes sacrificed. 60 recipients comprising poor and destitute recipients as well as the village residents received the sacrificial meats.

 

Kampung Bunut Mosque also sacrificed six buffaloes. The sacrificial meats were distributed to the poor and destitute families as well as residents from Kampung Tasek Meradun - Bunut, Kampung Bunut Perpindahan and Kampung Madewa.

 

Meanwhile, 10 buffaloes were sacrificed by the Pengiran Muda Abdul Wakeel Mosque Takmir Committee and Muslimah, Kiudang in Tutong District. The sacrificial meats were distributed to 51 poor and destitute recipients from Mukim Kiudang, the sacrificial rites participants and village residents.

 

In the Belait District, more than 100 poor and destitute recipients as well as residents from the Mukim Kuala Belait area received sacrificial meats. The distribution ceremony was held at Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque, Kuala Belait.
