According to the Deputy Head of Haj Management Office for Medical, hot weather is one of the challenges for Haj medical officers to deal with, to prevent the country's haj pilgrims from experiencing heatstroke.

Doctor Haji Aziman bin Pehin Orang Kaya Maharaja Kerna Dato Paduka Seri Haji Yaakub also advised the country's haj pilgrims to protect themselves from exposure to hot weather. He added the temperature in Mina reaches over 45 degrees Celsius.
