​The Ministry of Home Affairs and the departments under it organised the Ilal Hijrah Celebration. The ceremony took place on 10th July afternoon, at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs.  The event was highlighted with a forum titled "Hijrah Dan Cabaran Umat Islam" or Hijrah and Challenges of the Muslim Ummah, which among others discussed the significance of Hijrah at this time. Also present were Members of the Legislative Council.
