​The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Brunei Darussalam held a "Notes of Friendship" event as the 40th diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of the Philippines through music. The function took place on 31st July night, at a hotel in the capital. Present were Dayang Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and Her Excellency Marian Jocelyn R. Tirol-Ignacio, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam. ​
