​78 cyclists comprising national cyclists and clubs under the Brunei Darussalam Cycling Federation took part in the 78-kilometre Royal Birthday Cycling Recreation.

The event was flagged off by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The cycling, which began and ended at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien, was led by Pengiran Amar Suriani bin Pengiran Hashim, a national cyclist.
