To broaden access to quality education in higher education, aside from maintaining the Malay Islamic Monarchy values, Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA, signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Kolej International Graduate Studies, KIGS. The signing ceremony was held at the college's Gadong Campus.

Signing on behalf of UNISSA was Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA. While KIGS was represented by Awang Haji Mahrub bin Awang Haji Murni, KIGS Interim Chief Executive Officer. The ceremony ran concurrently with a discussion on the bilateral cooperation programme offered. Among other things, the program is hoped to provide a solid foundation for students, and further prepare students for academic and professional success in the future.
