​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, received in audience His Excellency General TNI (Retired) Prabowo Subianto, Minister of Defence and President-Elect of the Republic of Indonesia. His Excellency will be inaugurated as the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia on 20th October 2024. The Audience Ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman, 5th September afternoon.

Accompanying His Excellency were His Excellency Professor Doctor Achmad Ubaedillah, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam; Mr. Sugiono, Member of House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia; and Major Teddy Indra Wijaya, Chief of Staff.

Also present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yusof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.

During the Audience Ceremony, His Majesty and His Excellency discussed on bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual importance, as well as exchanged views on regional and international issues.

Following the Audience Ceremony, His Majesty and His Excellency attended an Afternoon Tea.​
