The holistic approach integrates various strategies to deal with emotions and mental health comprehensively was among those discussed during the Second Session of the Knowledge Convention Seminar. It took place on 1st October morning, at the International Convention Centre, Berakas.
Dayang Hani Haryana binti Haji Maidin, Psychologist and Head of Clinical and Community Psychology Services in a working paper titled, 'Emotional and Mental Health Regulation' touched on strategies in fostering emotional well-being and enhancing the quality of life. Among those present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy.
The working paper titled 'Long-term effects of STRESS on mental health and how to deal with it' was presented by Dayangku Doctor Raidah Hayati binti Pengiran Haji Mohamed, Psychiatrist Consultant. In her presentation, she emphasised the importance of regular self-assessment that can help identify effective strategies against future stress.
Doctor Deeni Rudita bin Idris, Assistant Professor from UBD in a working paper titled 'Stigma Against Health And Mental Illness Among Informal Caregivers For Psychiatric Patients In Brunei Darussalam' shared that social media plays a role in enhancing access to information, knowledge, and awareness levels about mental health.
