In conjunction with the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and Brunei Darussalam, a Tree Planting Ceremony was held at Mullae Community Garden, Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul, Republic of Korea. It is a symbol of the long-lasting friendship and ongoing partnership between the two countries with a shared commitment to address climate change and promote forest conservation.

Among those joining were Her Excellency Pengiran Hajah Nooriyah binti Pengiran Lela Wijaya Pengiran Haji Yussof, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of Korea; Dayang Noralinda binti Haji Ibrahim, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism and Mr. Kim Dong-bae, Director General of ASEAN and Southeast Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. The ceremony jointly organised by the Brunei Darussalam Embassy in Seoul, Asian Forest Cooperation Organization and Yeongdeungpo District with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism of Brunei Darussalam.
