​Following the recent heavy rains, parts of rural areas in the Tutong District have been hit by floods. The rising river water has overflowed into areas of Kampung Benutan, Kampung Rambai, Kampung Kuala Ungar and parts of Kampung Panchong and Kampung Layong. Various government agencies responsible for the welfare and well-being of citizens and residents are continuously on standby to ensure that the affected areas are under control.

The Incident Control Post, ICP, which covers the deployment of various agencies under the Tutong District Disaster Management Committee, DDMC Tutong, was activated on 24th January 2025, at Lamunin Fire Station. It aims to coordinate actions to provide assistance in transport services, food distribution, security patrols and monitoring as well as any emergency services needed by the affected residents. Temporary accommodation is also provided at the Bukit Barun Public Works Department's Barracks. Villagers are reminded to always be vigilant and maintain the safety of their property, besides ensuring the well-being of their family members.
