In conjunction with the 41st National Day Celebration, the Celebration's Executive Committee held a Giant-sized National Flag Hoisting Ceremony. It took place at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex Open Area in the capital, 15th February morning.

Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development, as Acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The flag hoisting ceremony was officiated by personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy. The national flag and posters in conjunction with the National Day Celebration were handed over to District Officers. With the national flag hoisting, all citizens and residents of the country are to hoist the flag to enliven the Celebration, starting on the 15th of February until the 25th of February.
