​The Higher Education Institutions in the country also took part in further glorifying the National Day Celebration by holding Flag hoisting ceremonies. Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA held the Flag Hoisting Ceremony at the university's parking area, 15th February afternoon.

Present was Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA. It aims to instil patriotism.

The Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College also held a similar event, 15th February morning. In attendance was Associate Professor Doctor Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani, Ra'es of KUPU SB.
