​Efforts to build new houses to meet the requirements of eligible citizens, was among the matters discussed at Policy Level Deliberations. The Minister of Development explained that several main housing projects have and are being carried out including Phase 2 of the RPN Kampung Lugu and Phase 7 of the RPN Tanah Jambu projects.

Yang Berhormat said the Ministry has also planned several new housing projects under the 12th National Development Plan including Kampung Lumut National Housing Scheme Phase 7 in Belait District, Kampung Rimba National Housing Scheme Phase 6, in Brunei Muara District and Kampung Salambigar National Housing Scheme. These projects are currently in the early stages of design and site studies. It is hoped that after going through a detailed planning process and obtaining the necessary approvals, construction will begin in stages.
