​Upgrading the drainage system; and the hospitality and service training programme were also raised by the Appointed Members.

The Minister of Development explained that the Public Works Department has taken a step to assess and upgrade the drainage system in several places throughout the country. These include regular cleanings and maintenance works.

To expand cooperation with the private sector, the Minister of Health stated that the Ministry with the assistance of JobCentre Brunei has conducted the 'Clinical Supervisory Programme' to provide professional training through structured practical training, for 18 months in the public and private sectors.

Regarding training programmes to enhance the quality of hospitality and services, the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism explained that various training programmes and courses involving youth have been implemented. This includes collaboration with SEAMEO VOCTECH, Embassies of friendly nations and educational institutions.
