The involvement and solid support from the citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam from all levels in enlivening the birthday celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam reflects the love of the citizens and residents for His Majesty and can strengthen unity and harmony regardless of racial and religious background. The matter was touched by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs as co-chairman of National Committee for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 79th birthday celebration for 2025.

The meeting was co-chaired Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as Co-Chairmen of the Celebration National Committee. Also present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, State Mufti as Co-Advisor. The meeting took place at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.

According to the Minister, several series of discussions will be held either at the Working Committee or Steering Committee level as initial preparations to ensure the smooth running of the events, including the repair work of half of the Taman Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien which involves replanting grass using the "hydroseeding" method.

The meeting, among other things, discussed the report on preparations for the Celebration events. Also present were members of the National Celebration Committee.
