His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, received twenty-six Letters of Credence from non-resident Foreign Envoys to Brunei Darussalam from twenty-six countries. The Ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman, 17th May afternoon.

 

The Foreign Envoys were from The State of Eritrea; Ireland; Republic of Zimbabwe; Kingdom of Belgium; Republic of Uganda; Republic of Chad; Republic of Italy; Republic of The Sudan; Slovak Republic; Republic of Chile; The Republic of Zambia; the European Union; United Arab Emirates; Kingdom of Sweden; Portuguese Republic; Republic of Mali; Kingdom of Denmark; Bosnia and Herzegovina; Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka; Republic of Finland; Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela; Republic of Kenya; Republic of Rwanda; New Zealand; The Republic of Costa Rica; and Republic of Guinea.

 

His Majesty then received in audience the non-resident Foreign Envoys to Brunei Darussalam who have just presented their Letters of Credence. Present at the ceremony were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hamiddon bin Haji Ibrahim, Private and Confidential Secretary to His Majesty; Awang Haji Muhammad Fakhri bin Haji Mohd Taib, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Pengiran Haji Raffizanna bin Pengiran Haji Razali, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office as Acting Grand Chamberlain.
