The Government of Japan has conferred the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star to Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Idriss bin Pengiran Temanggong Pengiran Haji Mohammad, Former Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Japan. The conferment ceremony took place at the Residence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Brunei Darussalam at Kampung Sungai Tilong, 18th July afternoon.

It was presented by His Excellency Kikuta Yutaka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan. During his nine-year tenure as the Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Japan from 1987, Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Idriss made significant contributions to fostering strong relations between the two countries. He played a pivotal role in facilitating high level visits.
