Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah binti His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, President of the Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam attended a Khatam Al-Qur'an ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 79th Birthday Celebration. The ceremony took place at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Secondary Arabic Religious School, Kampung Katok. Upon arrival, Her Royal Highness was greeted by Datin Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohd. Ali, Lifelong Vice President of the association, and Hajah Viviyanti binti Haji Md. Ali, Vice President of the association.

The ceremony commenced with the reading of Sayyidul Istighfar, Selawat Tafrijiyyah and Doa before reading the Quran. The reading of Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Dayang Hajah Fatimah binti Haji Abd Ghani, the association's Spiritual Commissioner.

Meanwhile, Khatam Al-Qur'an participants from the Sultan Sharif Ali's Young Leaders' Unitr presented the reading of Tahtim. The reading of Doa Khatam was led by Doctor Mariam binti Haji Abdul Rahman, the association's Young Leaders Commissioner. The association's Spiritual Commissioner then led the reading of Doa Selamat and Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
