​The practice of supplicating for the Monarch not only maintains social harmony, it also ensures the nation's political stability and economy. This was among the content of a Tazkirah or lecture on Supplicating for the Monarch delivered by the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs at the Nationwide Ilal Hijrah Munajat Night in conjunction with His Majesty's 79th Birthday Celebration. Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan also underlined that the practice of supplicating for His Majesty is a manifestation of the people's love towards the beloved Monarch. The programme was held with the focal point at Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampung Kiarong, 19th July night.

During the programme, the reading of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah were led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development. Meanwhile, the Selawat Nur was presented by students of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute. Doa Munajat and 'Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam' were led by Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Suhaili bin Haji Mohiddin. Among those attended were Cabinet Ministers; Deputy Ministers; and Members of the Legislative Council.
