The Narcotics Control Bureau held the Bukit Patoi Challenge. It was held for the very first time in commemorating the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The event took place at the Bukit Patoi Forest Recreation Park, Temburong District, 17th August morning.

In attendance was Yang Berhormat Haji Awang Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir, Member of the Legislative Council. Also present, Awang Hassan Baha bin Haji Umar, Acting Temburong District Officer, and Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Zalani bin Hj Ismail, Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau. 150 people took part in the challenge that was divided into several categories, namely the Men and Women's Open and Veteran's categories, and the Fun Hike. The event was part of the bureau's initiative in raising awareness on the dangers of drugs through healthy lifestyle approaches.
