Economic cooperation, cultural exchanges, infrastructure, education and tourism are expected to further strengthen the close relationship between the Republic of Korea and Brunei Darussalam. According to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Brunei Darussalam, bilateral cooperation in the economic field continues to strengthen, while people-to-people and cultural exchanges continue to grow. The matters were shared by His Excellency Sun NahmKook during the National Day Reception of the Republic of Korea. It was held at the Tarindak D'Seni, Bandar Seri Begawan.
Representing His Majesty's government, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health. His Excellency in his speech also said that in 2024, bilateral trade volume reached 543.3 million Brunei Dollar and as of May 2025, Korea becomes Brunei's third-largest export destination. Korean companies also have actively contributed to key infrastructure projects.
