While attending the 5th Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, RCEP Leaders' Summit, His Majesty in a titah voiced Brunei Darussalam's commitment in upholding the free, fair and rules-based multilateral trading system, especially against the backdrop of a global trading environment that has become more uncertain and turbulent. In this regard, His Majesty in the titah acknowledged the importance of the R-CEP Agreement as a vital platform for advancing regional economic development and cooperation, with ASEAN's important FTA partners comprising of Australia, People's Republic of China, Japan, Republic of Korea and New Zealand.

Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

The Summit was chaired by the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
