While in Malaysia, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, also attended a Bilateral Meeting with His Excellency Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

During the Bilateral Meeting, His Majesty looked forward to visiting Viet Nam in December 2025 and to strengthening the Comprehensive Partnership between the two countries, who have enjoyed enduring collaboration in trade, energy and people-to-people exchanges. The Plan of Action in place will further enhance mutually beneficial areas. In addition, His Majesty expressed pleasure that both countries work closely to expand trade linkages through halal cooperation and aquaculture, as well as through oil and gas exploration activities.

Both Leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
