A briefing on the Astronomy Exhibition: Methods for Determining the Early Hijrah Month, provides exposure on the process and methods of sighting the Hilal as well as the role and importance of Hilal in determining important dates in the Islamic calendar practised in the country. It took place at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, 8th November afternoon.

It was one of the programs organised in collaboration with five agencies and associations aimed at providing understanding to the public about the method of determining the new Hijrah moon, thus eliminating the public's negative perceptions of the credibility of the official determination of the new Hijrah moon, which sometimes differs from neighbouring countries.
