A restaurant was imposed a fine by the Enforcement Unit, Tutong District Office for violating the Miscellaneous Offences Act, Chapter 30.

Tandakasih Restaurant, Kampung Keriam Tutong was fined BND2,000 for the offence of piling up and disposing of tree branches in a public place. If the company fails to pay the fine within seven days from the date the fine was issued, the company may be brought to court and if found guilty may be fined not less than BND2,000 and not exceeding BND10,000 and for a second or subsequent offence shall be liable to a fine of not less than BND10,000 and not exceeding BND30,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or both.
