The National Pencak Silat student athletes for this year's ASEAN Schools Games have been preparing and training for over a year. Pencak silat is one of eight sporting events to be contested at the competition.

The Pencak Silat event will be participated by 19 student athletes for the Men's and Women's Tanding categories. The 'Seni' category comprise single men's and women's as well as men's and women's double. The Pencak Silat event will take place at the Youth Centre from 22nd to 26th of November.
